Chicagoland CB set for ISU jr. day

One of the top cornerbacks on the Cyclones' 2018 wish list will be on campus this weekend, as a three-star Illinois prospect makes his way to Ames with his mother.

Three-star Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North junior Tyrik Henderson, who is the fourth-ranked player in his state for 2018 and the 27th-ranked cornerback nationally, believes he is one of the top recruits on the Cyclones’ list. Henderson has been given a 5.7 rating from Rivals.

The 5-foot-10, 160-pound Henderson said he’s hearing a lot from both McDonald and fellow assistant Alex Golesh.

Trying to stand out in a pack of Power-5 offer schools that includes Boston College, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Purdue and Syracuse, Iowa State is pulling out all the stops with Henderson. That includes the realm of “edits”.

For more on Henderson's recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
