Cali. LB ventures out to visit I-State

Last week, Iowa State's coaching staff hosted a Class of 2018 prospect that is being pegged for a specialty role on the defensive side of the ball.

Not only was the unofficial visit the first time Newbury Park linebacker Josh Madison had been in the state Iowa, but it was also the furthest he’d been away from home.

Madison said he particularly enjoyed his time meeting with lead recruiter Tyson Veidt and head coach Matt Campbell.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Madison is a three-star recruit by Rivals and also has a Power-5 offer from Utah to go with G5 programs Colorado State, Hawaii, Nevada, San Jose State and Utah State.
