Cal commit slated for I-State visit

Pegged for an official visit to Iowa State this weekend is a three-star Class of 2017 standout from the state of California with multiple Power-5 offers.

Temecula (Calif.) Chapparal standout senior Michael Onyemaobi, who is committed to Cal, has decided to keep the Cyclones in the picture because of his relationship with the staff, and is taking his first official visit of the recruiting process to Ames.

In addition to Cal and I-State, Onyemaobi also has Power-5 offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, Purdue, UCLA and Washington State.

Rated a three-star by Rivals.com, as well as the 38th athlete overall and 49th player in the state of California, Onyemaobi said he’s being targeted for the defensive backfield by I-State for a number of reasons.
