Bowens to play for title, then visit Iowa State

One Iowa State defensive back commit will be wrapping up his high school career this Saturday night in a state championship game.

It's been a memorable fall run for Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary’s standout Richard Bowens, who committed to the Cyclones back in April and said he’s hearing from his recruiting coach on a consistent basis this season.

Bowens and his St. Mary's teammates will be playing in the Division III state championship game this Saturday night against Muskegon at Ford Field in Detroit, where they will be vying for a third-straight state title.

Already a great prospect in the secondary, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound senior has added to his repertoire this season as a pass catcher for his team.
