Big-time CB set for Cyclone weekend

Iowa State showed a lot of interest in a Texas high school defensive back during the spring, visiting his school on multiple occasions. Now the Class of 2018 prospect will return the favor and take an unofficial visit to Ames this weekend.

Richmond (Texas) Foster defensive back Christian Young, a three-star recruit with a 5.7 Rivals rating, says the Cyclones are high on his list heading into the summer months.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Young will arrive in Ames on Friday and plans to spend two days there on an unofficial visit.

In addition to ISU, Young also has Power-5 offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas, Missouri and Oregon State, as well as from a host of G5 programs.

For more on Young's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
