Big game win highlights Schleker's I-State visit

The Cyclones will host many of their committed players for official visits in early December, but did have one future program member on campus over the weekend.

Allen (Texas) senior Carson Schleker, who has been committed since the summer, was the lone prospect on campus for an official visit as the Cyclones upended fourth-ranked TCU in Jack Trice Stadium. It should come as no surprise that what transpired Saturday afternoon was the most memorable to Schleker.

Since he took a campus tour during a summer unofficial visit before making a decision, Schleker said much of his focus this weekend was around the football aspect. He spent some time with future position coach Bryan Gasser previewing his future role on the team.

The 5-foot-9, 180-pound wide receiver picked Iowa State over other Power-5 offers from Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, Louisville, Minnesota, Utah, Washington State and Wisconsin.
