Armstrong en route for Iowa State visit

One of the headliners on campus this weekend for a home basketball game and football Junior Day is a class of 2018 quarterback from the state of Ohio that has the Cyclones in his top list of schools.

Shelby (Ohio) signal-caller Brennan Armstrong is en route to Ames with his family and is looking forward to a busy day in Ames tomorrow.

The 6-foot-1, 184-pound Armstrong said he’s felt for a while now that he is a priority for the Cyclones in next year’s crop of newcomers. The dual-threat quarterback that is ranked 16th at his position nationally is also the 20th overall prospect in the state of Ohio for 2016.

Armstrong has picked up double-digit offers throughout the process, many of which are from Power-5 programs, and he is evaluating four schools in particularly with a decision date looming in the spring or summer.

For more on Armstrong's recruitment and how the Cyclones up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
