4-star LB ready for Iowa State visit

One of the top high school overall prospects in Illinois' Class of 2018 will be on campus this weekend seeing Iowa State for the first time.

Lake Zurich Class of 2018 standout Jack Sanborn, a four-star recruit who picked up his first offer of the recruiting process last summer from the Cyclones, said he is excited to be in Ames.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Sanborn, who is the third-ranked overall prospect in Illinois and ninth-rated inside linebacker nationally in the Class of 2018, has remained in close contact with a pair of I-State coaches in the months since his offer.

Sanborn said he has been recruited the most by ISU coaches Matt Campbell and Tyson Veidt.
