3-star TE discusses ISU offer

After the season that Iowa State had in 2017, an offer from the program carries a lot more weight says a Texas Class of 2019 recruit that received one earlier this month.

Houston Strake Jesuit junior Thomas Gordon said he heard the news of his second Power-5 offer after a trip by two Iowa State assistant coaches to his school. He also has an offer from Baylor, to go along with several from the G5 ranks.

There’s a good possibility of an unofficial visit in the next few months, the Class of 2019 recruit says.

As a high school junior, Gordon pulled down 26 catches for 450 yards and seven touchdowns. But catching passes wasn’t the only area of his game that he worked on.

For more on Gordon's recruitment and how the Cyclones stack up at this stage of the process, check out a more-detailed story on the ISU Confidential message board.
