2020 ATH adds I-State offer

It was a productive December recruiting period for Iowa State at a high school powerhouse in Michigan, as area recruiter D.K. McDonald offered a pair of underclassmen. Included in the mix was a 2020 athlete who would likely play in the secondary if he ends up in Ames.

West Bloomfield sophomore Makari Paige picked up an offer from Iowa State around the same time as his teammate Tre Mosley, a wide receiver in the 2019 class.

The 6-foot-1, 165-pound Paige’s recruitment has picked up a lot of steam since his sophomore season, as he currently has seven Power-5 offers. Iowa State is in a mix of schools that includes Boston College, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota and Syracuse.

Limited in the contact he can have with McDonald, or any college recruiters for that matter, the athlete says he’ll be following up with the coach as much as possible.
