2014 gem Lazard commits to ISU

Two days after getting Iowa's no. 1 recruiting prospect for 2013 to commit, Iowa State has followed up with a commitment from the likely no. 1 in-state standout for 2014 as well.
Urbandale (Iowa) wide receiver Allen Lazard committed to Iowa State on Monday. Lazard announced his commitment on twitter. On Saturday, West Des Moines (Iowa) Valley offensive lineman Jake Campos committed to ISU after previously being committed to Missouri.

Lazard is a 6-foot-4, 190-pounder whose father Kevin played at Iowa State. And Anthony Lazard - Allen's older brother - is a walk-on linebacker with the Cyclones. Lazard had also collected offers from Iowa and Nebraska and was likely to have picked up countless others over the next several months.
Lazard is the first verbal commitment of the Class of 2014 for Iowa State.
