The ISU men's team finished ninth. Texas won the Big 12 women's team championship and Texas A&M won the men's title. Edward Kemboi won the men's 800-meter run for the Cyclones. The sophomore used a strong kick to cross the finish line in 1:46.65. Kemboi also placed seventh in the men's 1500-meter run. Oklahoma sweeps ISU in softball finale No. 3 Oklahoma ruined Iowa State's final home softball series at its old park as the Sooners swept three games at the Southwest Athletic Complex over the weekend. ISU finishes the season 14-39 overall and 2-22 in the Big 12. The Cyclones will move to a new home softball facility for next season. Women's golfers finish 14th at regional The Iowa State women's golf team finished in a tie for 14th at the NCAA West Regional Friday and Saturday in Erie, Colorado. ISU fell 10 strokes shy of qualifying for the NCAA Championships. The Cyclones' team score was an even 900. Junior Punpaka Phuntumabamrung led the Cyclones by tying for 26th at 221, shooting rounds of 72-73-76.
