Christopherson works out for Wolves

Former Iowa State sharpshooter Scott Christopherson is getting a chance to show his skill in a workout with the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA, according to his hometown newspaper - the LaCrosse Tribune.

Christopherson also recently spent a week working out with other pro hopefuls at a camp in Chicago put on by Priority Sports and Entertainment, the group that represents him.

Although not expected to be chosen in next month's NBA draft, Christopherson could gain an opportunity to sign as a free agent based on his workout performances. He said he thinks he could get individual workouts with other pro franchises as well in addition to Minnesota.

Uthoff adds two more visits

Wisconsin basketball transfer Jarrod Uthoff will in fact visit more schools in his search for a new program, according to the Cedar Rapids Gazette.

The Cedar Rapids native reportedly has added planned visits to Marquette and Florida, in addition to the trips he has already taken to Creighton and Iowa State. Uthoff was at ISU last weekend.

He previously told CycloneReport.com that trips to Milwaukee and Gainesville were possibilities and confirmed to the Gazette that those visits have been set for the coming weeks.

Uthoff redshirted in his only season at Wisconsin. He'll have to sit out the 2012-13 season as well as a transfer. He'll have three years of eligibility remaining starting with 2013-14. Uthoff is a 6-8 forward.

Osemele signs four-year deal with Ravens

Second-round draft pick Kelechi Osemele wasted little time coming to terms on a four-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens. Osemele became one of the first drafted rookies to sign when he accepted a Ravens' offer that extends through the 2015 season.

The former Iowa State standout is expected to compete for the vacant starting left guard position for Baltimore. Osemele has not played guard since his freshman season at ISU.

Robinson in camp again with Vikings

Alexander Robinson is making a second run at his NFL dreams with his hometown franchise, the Minnesota Vikings.

Robinson, a former Iowa State running back, is back with the Vikings for a second straight spring, trying to hook on as a free agent. The Minneapolis native finished his ISU career in 2010 and got a tryout with the Vikings a year ago as well. He impressed, but didn't make the team.

He's among several free agent running backs looking to stick with Minnesota for the 2012 season.
