Grant picks Oklahoma
Michigan saw yet another target opt to commit elsewhere this weekend when Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward tight end Sam Grant picked Oklahoma over the Wolverines. It was yet another blow in a rough weekend that saw the Wolverines finish in second place to Stanford (Joshua Garnett), Ohio State (Armani Reeves), and Iowa (Alex Kozan).
Grant, a 6-6, 245-pound tight end, had narrowed his list to Oklahoma and Michigan entering the weekend, and made his choice this morning. He is ranked by Rivals as the No. 35 tight end in the nation and the No. 49 prospect overall in the State of Ohio.
The Wolverines still have a few options on the table for the 2012 recruiting class, but the numbers are dwindling. Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville defensive tackle Willie Henry and Chicago Simeon offensive linemen Jordan Diamond are the primary targets left on the table.
